Financial Crunch and Requirement of Loan is inevitable as sometimes you have to seek the loans in unforeseen situations. In Digital India, with ease in getting loan now from Online Loan Applications, the nightmare of getting loans approved is quite simplified but it has also raised an alarm of Scams and Frauds.

लोन एप्प्स (Fake Loan Apps) का धंधा और लोन वसूली से लोगों को ठग रहे हैं, सरकार और वित्तीय संस्थाएँ बेवस सी नजर आ रही है इनके आगे, लोग साइबर में शिकायत के बाद भी हो रहा है लोगों का उत्पीड़न।
जरुरी नहीं की आपने लोन लिया ही हो, आजकल ऐसी फेक एप्प्स भी गूगल प्ले-स्टोर पर हैं जो आपको पहले तो दिखती हैं की आपको बड़ा लोन मिल जाएगा, अपनी पात्रता देखने के लिए आप जैसे ही एप्प को इनस्टॉल कर के KYC और अपने बैंक के विवरण को डाल देते हैं, आपके डाक्यूमेंट्स (Documents Like Aadhar Card, PAN Card), डिटेल्स (Bank Details, Mobile Number) उनके पास पहुँच जाते हैं, उसके बाद या तो मैसेज आ जाएगा की आप का प्रोफाइल लोन के लिए योग्य नहीं हैं, ये आपके डॉक्यूमेंट कलेक्ट करने का एक तरीका है स्कैम करने वालों का।
अगर आप को योग्य भी दिखा दिया तो एक छोटी कोई 1000-2000 Rs. की रकम आपको भेज दी जायेगी और उसपे प्रोसेसिंग (Processing) और चार्जेज (Loan Charges) के नाम पे आपको देने होंगे 2 या 4 गुना पैसे वो भी 1-7 दिन में।
लोन रिकवरी (वसूली) का धंधा तो गंदगी के उच्च स्तर पर पहुँच चुका है, जिसमे आपको लोन ना दे पाने की स्थिति में गाली, धमकी, आपकी निजी जानकारी को सार्वजानिक करने का ब्लैकमेल या आपके कांटेक्ट को अश्लील, झूठे और भड़काऊ मैसेज भेजने की धमकी भी दी जाती हैं।
इनके हौंसले इतने बुलंद हैं की आप अगर बोलते भी हैं की आपने साइबर अपराध में या पुलिस में Complaint कर दी है तो उनका बस एकटुक जबाब होता है जो मर्जी कर लो, खुद ऐसी एप्प्स कंपनी फ्रॉड होते हुए भी आपको लोन डिफाल्टर (Defaulter) की तरह Harass करती हैं। और अगर आप हार कर पैसे दे भी देंगे, उस लोन के लिए जो आपने कभी लिया ही नहीं, तो भी शायद अगले दिन आपको फिर कॉल आ जाए की कोई पैसे नहीं मिले, या इतनी पेनलिटी और बढ़ गयी है, आप साबित भी किसको करोगे की आपने लोन लिया ही नहीं था, यहाँ सुन कौन रहा है आपकी – ना तो लोन कंपनी, ना लोन रिकवरी वाले, ना सरकार ना पुलिस।
साधारण आदमी अपनी बदनामी होने से डरता है बस इसी बात का फायदा उठाया जा रहा है इन लोन एप्प्स से समान करने वालों द्वारा।

Based on our research and feedbacks we are exposing some of the common possible scam techniques for which one has to be aware and beware.

You saw a fancy advertisement on Facebook or Whatsapp, claiming that you can get pre approved loan of big amount at a very low interest rate. The moment you downloaded the application and filled your KYC and Personal Details (Which obviously will be a regular process for anyone so you can’t distinguish till this point whether you are with a genuine or fake loan provider / money lender), now you get a option that you can get a very small amount of loan at very high interest and low tenure, you may opt to proceed with it or quit. Even if you proceed, if its pre-intimated Interest Rate, Tenure and Amount, that could be the Policy of the Loan Provider, so Legally its not totally Fraud Case, if you proceed with them. Quite obvious you were intimated about all the Charges, Loan Agreement and Penalty Clauses. Still the case is not fully in accordance to RBI Regulations but your Consent for the same was there. In Loan Recovery Process, don’t forget the Recovery Agents will be Rude, so try to repay the loan amounts on time.

Real scam starts beyond this, some loan apps after doing KYC and Seeking your Personal and Banking Information may start misusing your details, they already have your Phone Data which you agreed to share while installing the app and in case of non payments they may breach with your privacy to make defaming messages, threat calls or WhatsApp messages to your Contact List.

Or, Sounds Strange and Surprising to few but, Some Loan Apps are depositing some basic amounts totally non consented to your account and after few minutes you get those credits to the account and then the Repayment Charges and Tenure is going to shock you definitely, Tenure could be as low as 3-5 Days and Repayment Amounts 2X or 3X of Original Amount Transferred. Even if you want to deny there is no option and you start getting harassment calls, messages from Loan Recovery Agents to repay.  As they had compromised your Personal, KYC and Bank Information, the threat will also include not only Defamation, it also combines Misusing your documents or Hacking into your account. In such cases, my personal advice is not to repay them out of fear as even if you repay, it may not stop here. They may claim that amount is not updated or not received and the same continued threats valid to extort more money from you. So you can call it more a kind of Extortion and not just a Loan Scam.
