GS International School, Mathura Organized Awareness Drive Supporting Polythene Boycott

GS International Higher Secondary School (Village Jachonda, Mathura-Govardhan Marg, Mathura) conducted a workshop and awareness campaign for the Students and Teachers towards harmful effects of Polythene and Plastic Use and made an appeal to come forward and take it a social responsibility to make Mathura Polythene Free. The Polythene Carry Bags being non-biodegradable pose a serious problem for animals including Cows, Stray Dogs, and Fishes etc. Apart from this Polythene and other form of plastics including disposable cups, plates or plastic bottles accumulate at Yamuna and other Water Sources. We must act now and think on alternatives of Polythene Carry bags, where Cloth Bags are a good substitute, quoted Mr. Murali Manohar Singh (Chairman, GS International School). The workshop was also attended by Mr Giridhar Gopal Singh (Director) and Pushparaj (Principal) along with other Staff and Teachers.

Ms. Komal Chauhan, President and Founder of AspKom Eixil Foundation, working aggressively in Mathura on awareness campaign for Environment Protection and Stress Management also addressed the students on this issue. Ms. Komal was honored by the School Management as Chief Guest and she appreciated and thanked the management for conducting such a workshop as the young minds school students are future of the country and if they get aware and self-motivated, the problem and other evils of society can be quite easily reformed.
