Mission Fit India: Suniel Shetty & Baba Ramdev announces 120 Day’s Fitness Festival

Though we Indians have strong roots like that of Yoga, we are often categorized as ‘unfit’. Be it our lifestyle, eating habits or food culture, a couple of things are pointed out, falling to be the reason behind us being unfit. But well, with time, we all are slowly moving towards a healthier lifestyle and better eating habits. With the westerners, following Yoga with all their heart, we too with time have realized its importance. Also, it is because of the skinny culture that flooded in and left us all wonder if we are doing it right with our bodies. However, it is not only about having a slim or skinny body, it is about being fit! It is great that people are getting more aware of the importance of fitness in their lives and moving towards better things! Thanks to Social Media and fitness movements that keep us active all this while.

One such fitness festival is here! Mission Fit India,  the fitness movement launched today in the capital. Bollywood’s fittest actor Suniel Shetty, Yoga Guru-Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna joined hands for a 120-day fitness festival that aims to reach millions of people across the nation to encourage them to be fit in an easy way.

The festival will revolve around four different phases – ‘Fit Basics’, ‘Suniel Ki Sena’, ‘Fitness Wars’ and ‘Finale’. All the phases will cover the challenges that people phase in their journey towards fitness. In the first phase, people will get to interact with Suniel Shetty and get personal advice on fitness. In the second phase, 21 experts will help listeners to achieve a git body with simple exercises, nutrition tips, and mental health sessions.

During the launch of the fitness movement today, Suniel Shetty said, “Fitness is an area where there is yet to be a concerted effort in this country. While this generation constantly worries about getting fit, the lack of correct guidance and inertia due to myths and misconception hampers people from taking an active step in the direction. The aim of this movement is to simplify fitness for every citizen of this country.”

“Whenever people meet me, they ask me about my fitness. I always wanted to do something related to fitness. Today, it looks like a dream. By joining hands with radio channels and a strong brand like Patanjali, we feel that we can reach millions of people of this nation,” he added.

Yog Rishi Baba Ramdev also shared his views on Mission Fit India, he said, “Our health has two sides – body and mind and we all must give attention to both of them. With Mission Fit India, we aim to teach everyone how Yog and Ayurveda together can give you a healthy mind and body.”

Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali also shared, “I, Suniel bhai and Swami Ramdev have come together to make people understand how Yog and Ayurved can help people lead a healthy life. We want to bust all the myths that people have about fitness. I am really happy to be a part of this movement as there has never been a fitness mission of this magnitude in the country.”

Mission Fit India will be played out every day across 13 Fever FM and 30 My FM cities in India. The campaign will be promoted on a large scale across the country through Print media and digital media. The total reach of the campaign will be around 220 million and that’s a huge number for any fitness initiative like this one!
