PM Modi announces National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) in Mathura (Uttar Pradesh)

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi announces countrywide program envisioned for Farmer’s Welfare, Rural Development and National Animal Disease Control Program (NADCP) at Mathura on 11th September 2019. The announcement is a part of PM Modi’s Mission to double the Farmer’s Income by 2022 and includes Vaccination Program for Cattle; National Artificial Insemination Program; 2 Days Cattle Fair focused towards Healthy Livestock and other Development Projects worth 1059 Cr.

Prime Minister made these announcements and launched the programs during his visit to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Veterinary Science University and Cattle Research Institute, Mathura (Deen Dayal Upadhyay Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya, Mathura) today.
Nationwide workshops in Krishi Vigyan Kendras in all the 687 Districts of the country on the topic of vaccination, disease management, artificial insemination and productivity were also announced in the program.
Truly on the Development (Vikaas) Agenda, PM Modi follows the planned moves, from stronger defense forces/equipments to scientific excellence (Chandrayaan2) and now the focus towards Rural Development.

The Vision of the Prime Minister is clear that the Foundations of Country’s Development is established with Strong Defense Forces, Scientific Developments and Empowered Farmers, which truly relates the PM’s Vision for India synonymous to:

जय जवान | जय विज्ञान | जय किसान

Prime Minister also announced initiative and social responsibility of every citizen towards boycott of single-use plastic products, which being non bio-degradable pose a threat and long lasting damage to the environment.
Apart from the other announcements, Swachhata hi Seva Campaign and mission too announced today.

National Animal Disease Control Program (NADCP) is a fully funded project by the Central Government, which aims towards vaccinating 36 million female Bovine Calves annually with a long term objective to control Foot and Mouth Disease and Brucellosis by  2025 and their eradication by 2030. With 100 Percent funding from the Central Government, of Rs 12,652 Crores for a period of five years till 2024, the programme aims at vaccinating over 500 Million Livestock including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats and pigs against the FMD.With 100 Percent funding from the Central Government, of Rs 12,652 Crores for a period of five years till 2024, the programme aims at vaccinating over 500 Million Livestock including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats and pigs against the FMD.
